Site Visit to Dzung Quat Refinery, 9 October 2009, Quang Ngai, Vietnam


Be among the first few to visit this US$2.5 billion refinery. Launched in February 2009, Dzung Quat is designed to process 5.5 million tones of Bach Ho sweet crude and 1 million tones of Dubai sour crude. Its refinery is equipped to meet product qualifications of Vietnamese environmental requirements and projected ASEAN specifications.

Visit to the FPSO Ruby, 18 Sept 2008, Pasir Gudang, Malaysia


This was an exclusive opportunity to go onboard the FPSO Ruby before it sails off to the Ruby Oilfield in Vietnam. A deepwater floater which processess 30,000 barrels of oil per day, the FPSO Ruby has a storage capacity of up to 850,000 barrels. Jointly owned by Petronas and Petrovietnam, this FPSO made waves in the international media when MISC won the contract worth US$400 million to repair and restore the vessel following a fiercely-fought contest.
